Job summary

Terracon is seeking a Traveling Construction Materials Technician to join our remote team serving the Gulf Coast division. This role requires 100% travel to engage on transportation, commercial, wind farm, and other high-profile projects nationwide across multiple states.

You will test, observe, and document results, analyze data for accuracy, and communicate findings to the Project Manager. A strong focus on safety and quality is essential, with professional certifications encouraged.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 2 years of materials testing experience.
• Experience using a laptop and MS Word/Excel is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs testing, observation, and inspection per procedures.
• Provides clear documentation of findings and results.
• Performs basic data analysis before submittal to PM.
• Communicates information to PM and team as directed.
• Assists higher level technicians on complex tasks.
• Maintains assigned equipment and calibration.
