Job summary

CRM Residential is seeking a Traveling Maintenance Technician to service properties in the Philadelphia area, with travel to NJ and PA locations as needed. You’ll perform general maintenance, troubleshoot plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and minor carpentry tasks, ensure safety, and keep properties in excellent condition for tenants.

Ideal candidates are hands-on, detail-oriented, able to work independently, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine maintenance such as changing bulbs and unclogging drains.
  • Perform drywall patching, painting, and carpentry as needed.
  • Maintain grounds and common areas including snow removal.
  • Respond to tenant maintenance requests promptly.
  • Perform inspections and identify potential issues before they escalate.
  • Assist with major repairs or renovations as required.

Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour
What You’ll Get To Do:

The Maintenance Technician will receive general supervision and direction from the Community Manager. This position is responsible for traveling to various property locations NJ and PA to perform general maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance to ensure our properties remain safe, functional, and in excellent condition for our tenants. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and able to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Conducting routine maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, unclogging drains, and fixing leaky faucets
  • Performing minor repairs such as drywall patching, painting, and carpentry work
  • Maintaining the property’s grounds, including lawn care, snow removal and cleaning of common areas
  • Responding to tenant requests for repairs and maintenance issues
  • Conducting regular inspections and identifying potential maintenance issues before they become major problems
  • Assisting with major repairs or renovations as needed
Requirements
  • Perform general maintenance and repair work at multiple property locations
  • Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and basic mechanical issues
  • Complete preventative maintenance tasks and property inspections
  • Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional mannerEnsure vacant units are prepared and ready for new tenants
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance records
  • Identify safety hazards and report major repair needs
  • Communicate effectively with property managers, tenants, and team members
  • Travel between properties as needed to complete assigned work orders and projects
Preferred Qualifications
  • EPA or HVAC certification is a plus
  • Experience in apartment or multifamily property maintenance preferred
  • Basic knowledge of carpentry, painting, drywall, and appliance repair
Physical/Working Requirements:
  • Indoor/outdoor environment subject to changing conditions and temperatures exceeding 90 degrees at times
  • Ability to lift 55 pounds independently and support team lift with reasonable accommodations
  • This job involves walking and standing for long periods as well as stooping, squatting, lifting, carrying, pushing and climbing. Working on ladders at varying heights
  • Possible contact with blood borne pathogens and /or bodily fluids
