Job summary

The Good Samaritan Society is seeking an LPN to provide professional nursing care for residents in a long-term care setting at the Algona facility. The role requires documenting care, medications, and resident responses under supervision of an RN/physician.

Responsibilities include administering prescribed medications, supporting the health, safety, and comfort of residents, and coordinating with an interdisciplinary care team to meet care plans.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• State licensure as LPN in good standing (Current license).
• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Licensed Practical Nurse with required competencies and CEU/training requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care for residents in long term care.
• Administer medications or treatments as ordered.
• Document resident interactions and outcomes related to care, medication, behavior, activity, and diet.
