Job summary

Softrim LLC is seeking a Low-Voltage Field Technician based in Raleigh, NC, with 75-100% travel to commercial job sites nationwide. You will install and repair structured cabling, access control, surveillance, and networking systems, while following project plans and safety guidelines.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of relevant low-voltage experience, read blueprints, and hold a valid driver’s license. Some overtime and travel are expected, with full-time, hourly compensation and benefits

Qualifications

2+ years of low-voltage installation experience.
Commercial/multi-family project experience preferred.
Able to read blueprints and install according to plans.
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
Osha-10 or equivalent certification preferred.
English fluency; Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

Install and remove low-voltage cabling, including ethernet and fiber optic.
Pull, terminate, label, and test cables in various topologies.
Mount and connect low-voltage equipment (audio/visual, access control, surveillance, nurse call, networking).
Transport, store, and safely use tools and equipment.
Read blueprints and install per project plans.
Maintain project documentation and communicate milestones and issues to management.
Ensure safety and OSHA compliance on site.
Maximize billable time and adhere to scheduling guidelines.
