Vertin seeks a Traveling Licensed Funeral Director to provide compassionate, professional service across our nationwide network. You will arrange and conduct ceremonies, travel to partner locations, and ensure dignity in care for families in their time of need.

Ideal candidates hold a Minnesota Funeral Directors License, a Mortuary Science degree, and at least 2 years of licensed experience, with the ability to travel across eight states and work independently while following all regulations and

Qualifications

• Must qualify for a Minnesota Funeral Directors License.
• Bachelor’s degree or 120 credits (or equivalent) required.
• Degree from Accredited Mortuary Science Program plus state-specific requirements.
• 2+ years of experience as a Licensed Funeral Director.
• Relevant licensure and certifications held.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Arrange and conduct funeral and memorial ceremonies professionally and in line with policy.
• Travel throughout our network to provide relief where needed.
• Prepare the deceased: removal, transfer, embalming, cosmetology, hairstyling, dressing, casketing.
• Adhere to all licensing regulations and applicable laws.

This role will support our network nation-wide, providing support to 8 states nationally.

What you’ll do:

• Arrange and conduct funeral and memorial ceremonies in a professional, organized, and caring manner in keeping with company policies and procedures.
• Travel throughout our network of funeral homes to provide relief where needed.
• Perform a variety of tasks related to preparation of the deceased: removal and transfer, embalming, cosmetology, hairstyling, dressing, and casketing in a respectful manner.
• Ensure adherence to all professional, state, and federal licensing authority, regulations, and rules applicable to funeral service.
