Job summary

Vertin is seeking a Traveling Licensed Funeral Director to provide dignified care for families across our nationwide network. This role involves traveling to our network of funeral homes to support ceremonies and compassionate service in various communities.

Candidates should have 2+ years of licensed funeral directing experience, plan to work independently, and meet Minnesota licensing requirements. Vertin offers a strong benefits package and development opportunities within an 90+ location

Qualifications

• Must qualify for Minnesota Funeral Directors License; license fees paid by employer.
• Bachelor's degree or 120 credits.
• Accredited Mortuary Science Program degree.
• 2+ years of experience as Licensed Funeral Director.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently while following instructions.

Responsibilities

• Arrange and conduct funeral and memorial ceremonies professionally and compassionately.
• Travel throughout our network to provide relief where needed.
• Prepare the deceased: removal, transfer, embalming, cosmetology, hairstyling, dressing and casketing.
• Ensure adherence to all licensing regulations and policies.

This role will support our network nation-wide, providing support to 8 states nationally.

What you'll do:

• Arrange and conduct funeral and memorial ceremonies in a professional, organized, and caring manner in keeping with company policies and procedures
• Travel throughout our network of funeral homes to provide relief where needed.
• Perform a variety of tasks related to preparation of the deceased: removal and transfer, embalming, cosmetology, hairstyling, dressing, and casketing in a respectful manner
• Ensure adherence to all professional, state, and federal licensing authority, regulations, and rules applicable to funeral service

Requirements

• Must qualify for a Minnesota Funeral Directors License, we will pay for your license!
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent credits (120 credits)
• Degree from Accredited Mortuary Science Program plus additional college credits as required in the applicable state
• 2+ years of experience as a Licensed Funeral Director
• Relevant licensure and certifications

• Ability to follow instructions while also working independently
