VitalCore Health Strategies is seeking a Traveling Licensed Counselor to join our team as a full-time Behavioral Health Professional in Florida. The role travels to multiple RJDC sites across Broward, Collier, Miami‑Dade, Palm Beach, St. Lucie, and Southwest Florida; all travel expenses are covered.

Qualified candidates must be licensed LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, or Licensed Psychologist. The position includes a competitive wage, annual incentive bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, or Licensed Psychologist license.
• Must be able to travel within the region and have travel expenses paid.
• Master’s level Behavioral Health Clinician with ability to assess and treat.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group mental health interventions as appropriate.
• Perform administrative consults for specialized social services as needed.
• Deliver psychiatric social work on the Behavioral Health Unit of a Juvenile Detention Facility.
• Assist in planning and implementing program goals and projects.
• Participate in in-service trainings and staff orientation.
• Attend required trainings and meetings.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Behavioral Health Professional will be involved in working with all disciplines on the Behavioral Health Unit to attain effectiveness in serving the patient population.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Must be a Licensed, Master’s Level Behavioral Health Clinician who can assess and make treatment decisions and provide Mental Health treatment including LMHC, LCSW, LMFT or Licensed Psychologist. Must be able to travel within region. All travel expenses paid.

• MUST BE LICENSED AS AN LMHC,LCSW, LMFT, or LICENSED PSYCHOLOGIST.
• We cannot hire candidates with any other licensures, including intern and provisional licenses.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• The Licensed Mental Health Counselor performs individual and group therapeutic interventions as appropriate.
• The Licensed Mental Health Counselor performs administrative consults for specialized social services as determined by the specific needs of the Institution.
• The Licensed Mental Health Counselor performs specific psychiatric social service work on the Behavioral Health Unit of a Juvenile Detention Facility.
• The Licensed Mental Health Counselor assists in planning and implementing the goals and objectives of programs and projects. May direct special projects as requested.
• The Licensed Mental Health Counselor participates in and conducts in-service programs, as well as assists in the orientation of new staff and provides the necessary preparation of documentation, necessary records and reports.
• The Licensed Mental Health Counselor attends training and meetings as required
