Job summary

VitalCore Health Strategies is seeking a PRN Mental Health Professional in Orlando, Florida, at Orange Regional Juvenile Detention Center. Must be licensed (LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, or Licensed Psychologist) with a Master’s in Behavioral Health.

The role involves direct mental health treatment and collaboration with the Behavioral Health Unit. Responsibilities include individual and group therapy, admin consults, and participation in program planning and staff orientation.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, or Licensed Psychologist.
• Master’s level behavioral health clinician eligible to assess and treat.
• Ability to provide Mental Health treatment within a Juvenile Detention setting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct individual and group therapeutic interventions.
• Perform administrative consults for social services as needed.
• Serve on the Behavioral Health Unit to support patient care.
• Assist in planning goals and documenting records and reports.

Position Summary

The Behavioral Health Professional will be involved in working with all disciplines on the Behavioral Health Unit to attain effectiveness in serving the patient population.

Minimum Requirements

Must be a Licensed, Master’s Level Behavioral Health Clinician who can assess and make treatment decisions and provide Mental Health treatment including LMHC, LCSW, LMFT or Licensed Psychologist.

Essential Functions

• The Licensed Mental Health Counselor performs individual and group therapeutic interventions as appropriate.
• The Licensed Mental Health Counselor performs administrative consults for specialized social services as determined by the specific needs of the Institution.
• The Licensed Mental Health Counselor performs specific psychiatric social service work on the Behavioral Health Unit of a Juvenile Detention Facility.
• The Licensed Mental Health Counselor assists in planning and implementing the goals and objectives of programs and projects. May direct special projects as requested.
• The Licensed Mental Health Counselor participates in and conducts in‑service programs, as well as assists in the orientation of new staff and provides the necessary preparation of documentation, necessary records and reports.
• The Licensed Mental Health Counselor attends training and meetings as required.
