Job summary

VitalCore Health Strategies seeks a Traveling Licensed Counselor to serve multiple Juvenile Detention Center sites across Florida. The role requires a licensed Master’s level clinician capable of mental health assessment and treatment, with travel across Broward, Collier, Miami-Dade, Palm Beach, St.

Lucie and Southwest Florida RJDCs. ThisFull Time position offers competitive wages, an annual incentive bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Licensed, Master’s level Behavioral Health Clinician with ability to assess and provide Mental Health treatment including LMHC, LCSW, LMFT or Licensed Psychologist
• Must be able to travel within the region; all travel expenses paid.

Responsibilities

• Perform individual and group mental health interventions on the Behavioral Health Unit in a Juvenile Detention Facility.
• Provide administrative consults for social services as determined by institutional needs.
• Assist planning and implementation of program goals and projects; may direct special projects.
• Participate in in-service trainings and prepare required documentation and reports.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Behavioral Health Professional will be involved in working with all disciplines on the Behavioral Health Unit to attain effectiveness in serving the patient population.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Must be a Licensed, Master’s Level Behavioral Health Clinician who can assess and make treatment decisions and provide Mental Health treatment including LMHC, LCSW, LMFT or Licensed Psychologist. Must be able to travel within region. All travel expenses paid.

• MUST BE LICENSED AS AN LMHC,LCSW, LMFT, or LICENSED PSYCHOLOGIST.
• We cannot hire candidates with any other licensures, including intern and provisional licenses.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• The Licensed Mental Health Counselor performs individual and group therapeutic interventions as appropriate.
• The Licensed Mental Health Counselor performs administrative consults for specialized social services as determined by the specific needs of the Institution.
• The Licensed Mental Health Counselor performs specific psychiatric social service work on the Behavioral Health Unit of a Juvenile Detention Facility.
• The Licensed Mental Health Counselor assists in planning and implementing the goals and objectives of programs and projects. May direct special projects as requested.
• The Licensed Mental Health Counselor participates in and conducts in-service programs, as well as assists in the orientation of new staff and provides the necessary preparation of documentation, necessary records and reports.
• The Licensed Mental Health Counselor attends training and meetings as required
