Job summary

Braun Intertec is seeking an experienced Traveling Lead Construction Materials Technician to join our field team. This role conducts field testing and inspections on large commercial and industrial projects while leading a team of technicians on site and coordinating with project engineers and clients to ensure strict conformance to plans.

The position requires extensive travel across the US, a valid driver’s license, the ability to lift 50 pounds, and a commitment to long hours including

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction materials testing and observation experience.
• ICC Soils Special Inspector, Reinforced Concrete Special Inspector, Structural Masonry Special Inspector, ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician I are required.
• Willingness to travel and work long hours, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing and observations on large commercial and industrial construction projects.
• Prepare daily reports on observation activities.
• Review observation and test data for accuracy and completeness.
• Assist with training and mentoring of junior staff as needed.
• Lead a team of technicians on large projects.
• Work with project engineers and clients to ensure that client specifications are followed.
