Job summary

Metro Services Groups is seeking a grounds and landscape technician to maintain multi-family communities in the Columbia area and surrounding Missouri regions. The role requires travel to regional and corporate trainings and occasionally overnight stays.

Responsibilities include mowing, mulching, weed control, herbicide/pesticide applications, litter removal, tool upkeep, and coordinating with supervisors. A high school diploma is required; a Bachelor's in Horticulture or related field is a

Qualifications

This role requires hands-on grounds maintenance experience and basic knowledge of herbicide/pesticide use.
Experience operating lawn care equipment and hand/tools is preferred.
Ability to interact with clients and supervisor as needed.

Responsibilities

Mows, mulches, weeds, grubs, and edges around beds and lawns.
Applies herbicides and pesticides to control weeds and plant diseases.
Assists with litter removal from grounds.
Operates hand and power tools (shovels, rakes, saws, gas blowers, trimmers).
Shapes hedges and maintains plantings to design specs.
Communicates clients' questions to the supervisor and documents job site reports.
Maintains equipment and follows safety procedures, including PPE usage.
Travels to regional/corporate trainings or conferences as required.
