Precision Surveying & Consulting, Inc. in Omaha, NE seeks Traveling Land Surveying Crew Chiefs to lead field crews on long-term projects. You will coordinate survey operations, ensure data quality, and work with team members to meet client needs in dynamic field environments.

The role is full-time with 40 hours weekly, typical hours 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., and occasional Saturdays. Wage ranges from $28–$44/hour with a $1,190 weekly per diem, based on experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of general survey experience including topographic mapping and staking.
• Proficiency with survey equipment and data collection methods.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate conventional survey equipment per client specs.
• Use data collectors to perform as-builts, stakeouts, and control.
• Back up tablet data and follow file structures.
• Coordinate daily with office staff for field data delivery.
• Perform closed loops to 1:10,000 accuracy.
• Record daily field data in field books.
• Record crew time in the time tracking system.
• Read and interpret construction plans for layouts.
• Oops Safety Compliance: comply with OSHA and safety documentation.
