Job summary

Precision Surveying & Consulting, Inc. in Omaha, NE, is hiring Traveling Land Surveying Crew Chiefs for long-term projects. This full-time, on-site role offers a wage starting at $28 to $44 per hour based on experience, plus a weekly per diem of $1,190.

Typical hours are 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays. The Traveling Crew Chief will support surveying operations, coordinate with team members, and ensure accurate field data collection while upholding safety

Qualifications

• Two years of general survey practice including topographic mapping, construction staking, boundary determination, and data collection.
• Proficiency operating survey equipment and data collection methods.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate conventional survey equipment including GPS, robotic instruments, and total stations.
• Perform as-builts and stakeouts using data collectors and establish control to client specifications.
• Coordinate daily with office staff to translate and deliver field data.
• Record field data in field books and file documentation.
• Accurately track crew time in the time-tracking system.
• Read construction plans and map utilities for excavations and permits.
• Represent the company professionally and work as part of a team.
• Maintain safety standards and complete inspections.
