Job summary

Baltimore County Public Schools seeks a dedicated Homebound Instructor to deliver instructional services to students unable to attend school due to medical or emotional conditions or on home assignment.

You will tutor across core subjects, coordinate with parents and the Home and Hospital office, and maintain records while ensuring a safe learning environment and adherence to BCPS policies.

Qualifications

• Proof of a four year degree from an accredited college/university.
• Experience working with students Pre-K through grade 12 preferred.
• Possession of a valid Maryland driver's license.
• Knowledge of effective instructional techniques.
• Knowledge of instructional materials.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides tutoring services to BCPS students in core content areas using BCPS curriculum.
• Acts as a liaison between parents, students and Home and Hospital office.
• Instructs and supervises students in a variety of settings.
• Maintains a safe and orderly learning environment.
• Implements lesson plans and instruction using BCPS curriculum.
• Maintains academic and attendance records.
