Job summary

Amteck is seeking a Journeyman Electrician 1 to work under a Foreman or Superintendent, potentially overseeing a small crew of Helpers, Apprentices, or other J1s. The role involves installation, alteration and/or repair of electrical systems, conductors and equipment.

Candidates will have opportunities to learn in other divisions of Amteck, such as low voltage, controls, process work, and fire alarm, expanding their skill set within the electrical trade.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial environments.
• Owns tools required by policy and uses them to complete tasks.
• Demonstrates the Amteck Way in daily work and decision making.
• Available to work weekends and overtime.
• Ability to learn job-related material on the job.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install conduit and materials.
• Install and terminate electrical devices, fixtures, panels and feeders.
• Read and interpret project specifications, blueprints, and schematics.
• Lead and mentor Helpers and Apprentices on site.
