Job summary

Amteck is seeking a Journeyman Electrician 1 in Massachusetts to work under a Foreman or Superintendent and potentially oversee a small crew of Helpers or Apprentices. The role involves installing, altering, and repairing electrical systems and reading project documents to guide work.

You will have opportunities to learn in other divisions of Amteck, including low voltage, controls, process work, and fire alarm, while advancing your electrical trade skills.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience performing electrical construction in commercial and/or industrial environments.
• Able to use all tools required by company policy to perform tasks.
• Willingness to learn job-related material through on-the-job instruction and observation.
• Demonstrate a team-player mentality and work safely with others.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install electrical conduit using measuring devices and hand tools.
• Install and terminate electrical devices, fixtures, panels, and feeders.
• Read and understand project specifications, blueprints, and schematics.
• Lead and mentor Helpers and Apprentices on the job site.
