CURRENT OPPORTUNITY: Traveling Journeyman Electrician

Responsible for installing electrical systems in the commercial construction markets at various job sites and project locations. Responsible for supervising and coordinating helper/apprentice electricians on a per-job basis. Must promote excellent customer relations, interact with customers, assess their needs, and provide solutions.

Job Responsibilities

• Report to project site on time and prepared to work
• Apply oneself to learn and develop electrical skills
• Use electrical and construction principles to solve design and modification problems
• Complete work per national and local codes, keeping current with NEC revisions
• Follow company policies and procedures
• Meet daily commitments and stay on schedule as directed by the foreman
• Assist with loading materials, trenching, wiring, and other tasks
• Maintain respectful interactions with customers, vendors, and colleagues
• Keep the job site clean and organized
• Complete and submit paperwork, including timecards
• Follow safety policies and hold others accountable
• Troubleshoot electrical systems, including services, feeders, and circuits
• Plan installations to minimize waste and ensure accessibility and safety
• Follow diagrams and blueprints for wiring and equipment placement
• Measure, cut, bend, assemble, and install conduit
• Travel as required
• Splice wires, connect wiring to fixtures and equipment, and install control panels
• Observe system functioning for hazards and adjustments
• Repair faulty systems as needed

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• 4 years of electrical project installation experience
• Reliable transportation
• Owns necessary hand tools
• Ability to work with hands and multi-task
• Advanced electrical knowledge
• Valid driver's license with a clean record
• Applicable state certification
