CURRENT OPPORTUNITY: Traveling Journeyman Electrician

Responsible for the installation of electrical systems in the commercial construction markets at job sites and small/medium project locations. Holds responsibility for the direct supervision and coordination of assigned helper/apprentice electricians, on a per-job basis. Responsible for promoting excellent customer relations. Must be able to interact with the customer, determine their needs, and provide solutions.

Job Responsibilities

1. Report to project worksite on time and ready to work.
2. Exhibit a willingness to apply oneself, learn, and develop electrical skills.
3. Apply basic electrical and construction principles and practices to solve design, development, and modification problems with parts, assemblies provided.
4. Complete work in accordance with local codes. Keep current with the latest revision of NEC.
5. Complete work following company policies and procedures.
6. Fulfill daily commitments and stay on project schedule as directed by the job-site foreman.
7. Assist with loading materials, digging trenches, pulling wire through conduit, and other tasks needed to complete projects.
8. Treat all customers, other trades personnel, vendors, and workers with dignity and respect.
9. Keep the job site clean and clutter-free during and after work.
10. Complete and submit paperwork, including timecards, as required.
11. Follow and enforce safety policies, programs, and training of CESG.
12. Troubleshoot common electrical systems, including services, feeders, and branch circuits.
13. Plan installations to minimize waste, ensure future accessibility, and meet safety and aesthetic standards, complying with specifications and local codes.
14. Prepare sketches or follow diagrams/blueprints for wiring and equipment placement, ensuring concealed wiring is installed before finishing walls, ceilings, and floors.
15. Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit.
16. Travel is a must.
17. Splice wires, connect wiring to fixtures and equipment, install control and distribution apparatus, and connect power cables, ensuring proper grounding.
18. Observe and test installed systems for hazards and operational issues, making adjustments or repairs as needed.
19. Other duties as assigned
