Job summary

E Logic is looking for a highly skilled Lead IT Field Engineer in Kansas City, MO, to manage the hardware decommissioning and transit validation for a critical USDA Data Center relocation project. Responsibilities include auditing IT assets, overseeing subcontractor activities, and monitoring hardware stability.

The ideal candidate will have over 4 years of experience in enterprise data centers and must be able to pass a federal background check. Full travel flexibility is required, and all travel expenses will be reimbursed.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a federal HSPD-12 / T4 Public Trust background check immediately.
• 4+ years of experience working in enterprise data centers.
• Full flexibility to travel between Missouri, Colorado, and Illinois.

Responsibilities

• Audit all IT assets prior to packing; log serial numbers and verify hardware states.
• Oversee subcontractor 'rack and stack' activities, perform technical cable patching.
• Manage the mandatory hardware stability burn-in period.
• Remain available to monitor during transit shock or environmental exceptions.

Skills

Technical Experience in enterprise data centers

Knowledge of server rack architecture

Network cabling topology

Hardware diagnostics
