ARCS WELDING AND ERECTION LLC is seeking an experienced Traveling Ironworker Foreman to lead and supervise crews on commercial, industrial, and structural steel projects across the United States. You will safely direct crews, coordinate with management and other trades, maintain schedules, and ensure quality and safety standards are met.

The role requires strong field leadership, 5+ years of ironworking experience, and the ability to travel extensively to project locations for extended periods.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of ironworking experience, foreman or crew-lead preferred.
• Strong knowledge of structural steel erection, rigging, welding, bolting, and miscellaneous metals.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, erection drawings, and specifications.
• Strong understanding of OSHA construction safety requirements and fall-protection practices.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a field crew.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively and work away from home for extended periods.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Inspect completed work for quality, proper alignment, connections, and compliance with project requirements.
• Monitor crew productivity, manpower, materials, tools, and equipment.
• Identify potential jobsite hazards and take immediate corrective action when necessary.
• Safely direct crane picks, rigging operations, and material handling activities.
• Train, mentor, and provide direction to ironworkers and apprentices.
• Communicate project progress, manpower needs, material requirements, and field issues to management.
• Maintain accurate daily reports, time records, production information, and other required documentation.
• Assist with troubleshooting field conditions, sequencing issues, and changes in scope.

We are seeking an experienced Traveling Ironworker Foreman to lead and supervise ironworkers on commercial, industrial, and structural steel projects throughout the United States. The ideal candidate is a strong field leader with extensive ironworking experience who can safely direct crews, coordinate with project management and other trades, maintain production schedules, and ensure work is completed to quality and safety standards.

This is a traveling position, requiring regular work at project locations away from the employee's home area.

Key Responsibilities

Minimum 5 years of ironworking experience, with demonstrated foreman or crew-lead experience preferred.

Strong knowledge of structural steel erection, reinforcing steel, rigging, welding, bolting, and/or miscellaneous metals.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, erection drawings, and specifications.

Strong understanding of OSHA construction safety requirements and fall-protection practices.

Proven ability to lead and motivate a field crew.

Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions.

Ability to safely lift, carry, climb, and perform physically demanding construction work.

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Willingness and ability to travel extensively and work away from home for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications

OSHA 30 certification.

NCCER or other recognized ironworker/structural steel credentials.

Qualified welder certifications.

Rigging and signaling qualifications.

First Aid/CPR certification.

Crane/Signalperson or qualified rigger certification.

Experience supervising crews of 5–20+ employees.

Experience working on large-scale commercial, industrial, power, manufacturing, or structural steel projects.

Work Environment
