RavenVolt positions a Traveling BESS & Generator Installation Crew Member to support nationwide energy infrastructure projects from our Waco, TX office. Training will cover rough-in and tie-in work on BESS, generators, switchgear, transformers and microgrids while traveling across the United States.

Qualifications

• Must be physically able to perform demanding construction work.
• Willingness to travel nationwide for projects across the United States.

• Ability to identify and use construction tools and equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Support all phases of BESS and generator construction on site.
• Maintain a safe, productive, and fast-paced work environment.
• Prepare jobsites with forms, sub-bases, and concrete pads.
• Excavate trenches for conduit and utilities installations.
• Install conduit systems, backfill trenches, and compact soil.
• Set generators, switchgear, transformers, and BESS equipment.
• Pull and terminate electrical conductors from #6 AWG to 1000 MCM.
• Perform medium-voltage cable installations and terminations.
• Operate telehandlers, skid steers, and mini excavators.
• Follow all safety requirements and maintain tools/equipment.

Traveling BESS & Generator Installation Crew Member

RavenVolt is seeking motivated and hardworking Traveling BESS & Generator Installation Crew Members to support the installation of critical energy infrastructure projects across the United States. In this role, you will receive training in both rough-in and tie-in activities associated with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), generators, switchgear, transformers, and microgrid projects. Qualifications

• Strong work ethic and commitment to safety
• Ability to perform physically demanding construction work
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Willingness to travel nationwide
• Ability to safely identify and utilize construction tools and equipment

Preferred

• Hold an active electrical apprentice license
• Experience operating telehandlers, skid steers, mini excavators, or similar equipment
• Experience in electrical construction, commercial construction, industrial construction, or concrete finishing
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
• Prior generator, solar, BESS, or utility construction experience

What You'll Do

As a member of our installation team, you'll support all phases of BESS and generator construction, including:

• Maintain a safe, productive, and fast-paced work environment
• Prepare jobsites by building forms, installing stone sub-bases, and pouring and finishing concrete equipment pads
• Excavate trenches for conduit and utility installations
• Install conduit systems, backfill trenches, and compact soil to project specifications
• Set and secure generators, switchgear, transformers, and BESS equipment
• Pull and terminate electrical conductors ranging from #6 AWG through 1000 MCM
• Perform medium-voltage cable installations and terminations
• Operate construction equipment, including telehandlers, skid steers, and mini excavators
• Follow all company, customer, and OSHA safety requirements
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in safe operating condition

Location & Travel

This position is based out of our Waco, Texas office, with projects located nationwide. Depending on employee location and project requirements, team members may be required to report to the office at the beginning of every other work week prior to deployment.
