Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a District Support Pharmacist (DSP) to help cover pharmacist scheduling gaps and support pharmacy teams across stores in the district. You’ll work under the Pharmacy Manager and Rx District Leader to ensure safe dispensing and patient care.

The role emphasizes flexible scheduling, immunizations, inventory control, and collaboration with the patient’s care team. Requires active pharmacist license, NPI, and ability to travel; 20 hours weekly with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

Active Pharmacist License in the state where the store is located.
Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.

Responsibilities

Living our purpose by helping to manage and improve patient health through safe dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices.
Traveling the district to fill pharmacist shifts; serving as the Pharmacy Manager’s proxy during shifts.
Supporting safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following workflows and safety guardrails.
Assumes Pharmacy Manager’s day-to-day duties when acting as primary pharmacist-on-duty.
Mentoring the pharmacy team to deliver compassionate care and resolve insurance or medication issues.
Delivering immunizations and supporting technicians to learn immunization procedures.
Managing pharmacy inventory with emphasis on cold chain protection.
Maintaining relevant clinical and technical skills through ongoing trainings and CMEs.
