Job summary

Honeywell Traveling Field Service Programmer – HVAC Controls & Commissioning is a full-time role based in the Chicago/Des Plaines area, with up to 70% travel across Chicago/Des Plaines and surrounding IL region. You will install, commission, start up and troubleshoot HVAC control systems, support customers, and collaborate with project managers.

The position requires Niagara N4/AX expertise, BACnet knowledge, and strong diagnostic skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years building controls and automation with Niagara (N4/AX).
• 3+ years commercial HVAC controls field service experience.
• Working knowledge of BACnet control systems.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Commission, start up, and tune control systems to meet customer specs.
• Install and troubleshoot software and hardware, checkout control systems and start-ups.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Manage scope of work from start to finish.
• Coordinate with Honeywell project managers to understand needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to tailor solutions.
• Ensure adherence to policies and standards.
• Perform open systems and 3rd party integrations with other vendors.
