Confidential Employer is seeking a Traveling HVAC Commissioning Technician to perform startup, commissioning, testing and troubleshooting of commercial HVAC systems on new construction and retrofit projects.

The role focuses on commercial rooftop RTUs with occasional split systems, and requires travel with approximately 55 hours per week. You will collaborate with project managers, mechanical contractors, and controls teams, with a company vehicle, tools, and training provided.

Competenze

• Minimum 3 years of commercial HVAC experience.
• Experience performing HVAC commissioning or commercial service work.

Mansioni

• Startup and commissioning of RTUs, split systems, gas/electric systems, and heat pumps.
• Verify installation, wiring, airflow, and refrigerant charge.
• Ensure operation per manufacturer specs and design requirements.
• Conduct functional performance testing of HVAC systems.
• Measure airflow, temperature differentials, static pressure, and electrical performance.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, refrigeration, and airflow issues during startup.
• Confirm operation of economizers, dampers, sensors, and system controls.
• Collaborate with controls technicians and BAS teams on system integration.
• Complete commissioning reports, startup docs, and checklists.
• Record performance data and testing results.
• Communicate installation issues to project teams.
