Job summary

JBI Helicopter Services in Abbeville, LA is hiring a Helicopter Loading Truck Operator. This full-time, seasonal role offers outdoor work, travel across North America, and on-the-clock CDL training to learn specialized aviation logistics while you earn.

You’ll work with pilots and field crews to prepare daily operations, load materials, operate and maintain trucks, inspect equipment, and help secure helicopters, all while keeping accurate records and staying safe and professional.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn new skills and take on responsibility.
• Able to travel and work outdoors.
• Comfortable performing physical work.
• CDL with Tanker and HazMat endorsements, or willingness to earn these through company training.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for daily helicopter operations with pilots and logistics.
• Safely load, mix, and prepare materials for projects.
• Operate and maintain specialized trucks and equipment.
• Travel to project locations and identify safe loading areas.
• Inspect vehicles and equipment before and after operations.
• Keep trucks and job sites clean and organized.
• Maintain records for materials, fuel, expenses, logs, and operations.
• Assist pilots and team with securing helicopters when needed.
• Collaborate to complete projects safely and efficiently.
