Job summary

JLG Industries, an Oshkosh Company, seeks a Truck Driver to operate company owned or leased vehicles for the transportation of a variety of incoming and outbound materials and vehicles.

You will observe loading and unloading, ensure securement, complete drive logs, meet DOT standards, and drive long shifts. You may become certified on JLG aerial work platforms and telehandlers and must obtain TWIC credentials, with duties performed outdoors in varying conditions.

Qualifications

• Must pass DOT drug screen and DOT physical.
• Must pass a background check.
• Ability to lift, push, pull and carry up to 75 lb.
• Must be able to drive Class A commercial vehicles and meet in-cab duties.
• Ability to work outdoors in extreme temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Observe loading and unloading of materials, transport and deliver products.
• Secure load for safe transport by use of straps, chains, binders, load locks, and other necessary securement means.
• Complete electronic drive logs and load documentation accurately.
• Meet DOT standards for physical exam, drug test, and commercial driver’s license, as well as company standards.
• Drive up to 11-hour shifts and up to 70 hours per week.
• Required to become certified for operation of JLG Aerial Work Platforms and Telehandlers and become proficient in the use and loading and unloading of units from truck trailers.
• Qualify and obtain the Transportation Worker Identification Credential, also known as TWIC®, which is required by the Maritime Transportation Security Act for workers who need access to secure areas of the nation’s maritime facilities and vessels.
• Demonstrate the ability to work in extreme temperatures.
