Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a motivated individual to join the Kansas Grading Team. The role involves operating large equipment such as a 374 Cat Excavator or D8 Cat bulldozer to remove overburden across Kansas quarries, based out of Leavenworth, KS with travel to Onaga, St. Mary’s, and Soldier.

Responsibilities include equipment inspections, basic maintenance, teamwork, PPE usage, and safety compliance, with 40+ hours weekly and per diem/mileage pay where applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Bulldozers and excavator experience is preferred.
• 1+ years related experience in heavy equipment preferred.
• Knowledge of MSHA regulations is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Operate large equipment such as a 374 Cat Excavator or D8 Cat bulldozer to remove overburden at quarries in Kansas.
• Inspect equipment for wear and perform basic maintenance.
• Work in a team environment and wear appropriate PPE.
• Maneuver trucks for loading/unloading and assist in plant maintenance.
• Notify supervisors of repairs and ensure safety procedures are followed.
• This position requires 40+ hours per week.
