Job summary

Machine Ranger is seeking a Remote Field Technician to travel across Florida, inspecting and assessing heavy equipment at customer locations. You will diagnose engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, undercarriage, and power trains, and write precise inspection reports.

The role requires 2+ years in heavy equipment repair/inspection, strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, and a valid driver’s license with willingness to travel regionally. ASE or OEM training and a CDL are a plus.

Qualifications

2+ years of heavy equipment or mobile equipment repair/inspection experience (3-5 years preferred).
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record — significant regional travel.
Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
Ase certification, OEM training (Caterpillar/John Deere) or CDL a plus.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Travel to customer locations across Florida to inspect and assess heavy equipment.
Diagnose condition across engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, undercarriage, and power trains.
Write clear, accurate inspection and condition reports.
Perform minor repairs and service work to prepare equipment for sale.
Document hours, serial numbers, and visible wear or defects.
Communicate findings clearly to our sales team and, when needed, directly to buyers.
