Job summary

Braun Intertec in Bloomington, MN is seeking a highly motivated traveling Staff Engineer to join our team. This role supports renewable energy, infrastructure, and mission critical projects with frequent travel.

You will oversee field testing, coordinate with engineering leads, prepare scopes of work and proposals, analyze soils and logs, and develop reports while ensuring quality and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in geotechnical, civil, or related engineering field required.
• Two or more years of construction materials testing or geotechnical engineering experience preferred, but not required.
• Must have a valid driver's license and willingness to travel 60–90%.

Responsibilities

• Perform oversight of field personnel on remote job sites.
• Conduct field testing and observations at remote job sites.
• Assist field operations with technician training and review.
• Coordinate field observations with engineering project lead.
• Develop scopes of work and proposals for geotechnical projects, mainly in power/renewables or mission critical sectors.
• Prepare engineering reports for senior review and client delivery.
• Manage geotechnical projects including scope, schedule, budget, and safety requirements.
