Job summary

Terminix is seeking a Food Safety Specialist to support hotel, restaurant, and grocery clients by upholding brand standards and delivering friendly, customer-focused service to enhance guest experiences.

You will conduct audits, observe safety practices, and partner with clients to address root causes, while traveling up to 70% and maintaining thorough records. This role emphasizes making workplaces safer and healthier for clients and their customers.

Qualifications

• CP-FS certification is required to perform the role.
• Valid driver’s license from the state of residence is required.
• Licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and local regulations.
• Strong knowledge of food safety is preferred.
• ServSafe and/or CP-FS certification(s) are a plus.
• Excellent listening, organization, communication and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance with standards.
• Observe food prep and cooking to ensure safety and sanitation.
• Collaborate with clients to address root causes and develop corrective actions.
• Train and educate staff on safety practices and procedures.
• Travel 50-70% (8-10 days per month), including some evenings or weekends.
• Maintain documentation and records of inspections and actions.
• Provide clear, constructive feedback and work autonomously.
