Job summary

You will travel to sites to calibrate, validate, and optimize equipment performance, building strong customer relationships. The role requires 0–2 years in field service with strong mechanical aptitude, good communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent in electronics, computer science or related technical discipline is required.
• 0-2 years of field service experience with medical imaging equipment preferred.
• Experience designing, installing, or maintaining computer networks is highly desirable.
• Strong computer literacy; proficient with DOS and Windows; UNIX/NT/Solaris knowledge preferred.
• Must be a self-starter, able to travel and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must be capable of multi-tasking, setting priorities and scheduling work activities.
• Ability to resolve problems, think analytically and communicate professionally in high pressure environments.
• Willing to work flexible hours, overtime, on-call after hours; overnight travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Install and service Hologic products (mammography, bone densitometry, c-arms) including electrical, mechanical and software components.
• Establish and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction with Hologic's products, support and service.
• Complete remedial service actions, standard system checks, and hardware/software upgrades per policies.
• Train customers on basic operation of Hologic products.
• Escalate issues to service management with comprehensive, timely updates.
• Manage inventory and return unused/failed parts promptly.
• Provide pre and post sales support with sales and customers to meet expectations.
• Provide support at conventions, trade shows and customer trials.
• Perform PM’s on time, minimize equipment downtime; respond to inquiries as needed.
• Be on site at customer locations and travel within assigned territory.
