Job summary

ProAutomated is seeking a travel‑driven field engineer to support data center startups and automation projects across North America. You will perform mechanical, electrical, and control checks on-site, lead startup and testing, and work with engineers to validate systems.

Expect extensive travel, no fixed office, and ongoing professional development. Starting salary ranges based on location, education, and experience, with per diem, mileage, and performance bonuses.

Qualifications

• Willingness to travel and relocate as needed.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems, programming, and networking.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• authorized to work in the U.S. with a technical background.

Responsibilities

• Support data center startups with on-site mechanical, electrical, and control checks.
• Lead startup, checkout, and acceptance testing for warehouse and manufacturing systems.
• Collaborate with automation engineers to test and troubleshoot on-site.
• Provide clear updates to customers and project teams.
• Travel rotations follow 5 on/2 off, 10 on/4 off, or 14 on/7 off.
