Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking a Home Services Sales Consultant who travels to customers' homes and trade shows to sell exterior and interior products and services. The role emphasizes outside sales and requires frequent travel away from a fixed office.

You will assess needs, prepare tailored quotes, present warranty and financing options, and handle contracts. You will also expand the customer base through in-store and event outreach, building relationships with store teams.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Minimum 1+ years of previous related work experience.
• High school diploma and/or GED.
• Preferred in-home or virtual sales experience and home improvement industry experience.
• Computer and application skills and use of varied technology (email, iPad, apps).

Responsibilities

• Travel to customers' homes for sales calls and presentations.
• Assess customer needs and develop tailored product recommendations.
• Develop and negotiate customized price quotes.
• Present warranty information and financing options.
• Complete required sales contracts and paperwork.
• Proactively solicit new customers inside stores and at events.
• Maintain relationships with store management and educate staff on offerings.
• Attend sales and store team meetings to improve techniques.
