Flare Construction, Inc. is hiring a Traveling Field Mechanic to diagnose and repair heavy equipment and fleet vehicles on remote project sites across our Civil and Gas divisions.

This full-time role requires independent work at out-of-town locations and offers progression through Mechanic I–III based on experience and certifications. The position supports projects across Utah, Wyoming, Idaho and Nevada, with full benefits and travel support.

Qualifikationen

• 3+ years of mechanic experience on fleet vehicles or heavy equipment.
• AC Certification or willingness to obtain (Flare supports).
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across mechanical systems.
• Willing to travel to out-of-town project locations full-time.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in all weather conditions.
• High school diploma or GED.
• OSHA 10 required.
• Clean driving record.

Aufgaben

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems in field conditions.
• Perform preventive maintenance to maximize uptime.
• Respond to breakdowns and coordinate parts and logistics.
• Conduct DOT and OSHA inspections on fleet equipment.
• Maintain service records and work orders in the fleet management system from the field.
• Coordinate with the Shop and Service Manager and project site leadership on equipment scheduling.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to less experienced team members on-site.
