Job summary

MYR Group, Inc. is seeking a Field Mechanic to travel to project sites across the service area, performing maintenance, preventive maintenance, and minor repairs to fleet equipment.

You will contribute to safe operation and customer service for internal teams and may progress toward higher-level roles in the Fleet Department. The role requires travel within Wisconsin, with occasional overnight stays, and may include after-hours and weekend work.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanic assignments using independent judgment and apply procedures to specific work situations.
• Service and repair fleet equipment per manufacturer guidelines and schedules.
• Travel to customer sites for repair/maintenance; keep service vehicle clean and professional.
• May oversee less experienced mechanics.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
• Identify mechanical problems visually or with diagnostics.
