Job summary

Nextlink Internet is seeking a Field Operations – Tower Technician to install and service wireless tower electronics and antennas in our Nebraska operations. This full-time role requires climbing towers, running fiber and coax, and ensuring proper weatherproofing and safety procedures.

You will complete JSA, document work, operate hand tools and rigging equipment, and coordinate with team members to meet project goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with basic hand tools and electro-mechanical equipment.
• Ability to climb towers up to +/- 250 feet with safety equipment.
• Must pass drug screening and criminal background check.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Must complete in-house training program.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain tower electronics and cabling.
• Climb towers to install, replace and repair antennas and equipment.
• Inspect hardware for proper installation, alignment and weatherproofing.
• Complete Job Safety Analysis (JSA) before each climb and document results.
• Take site photos and prepare outage/project reports.
• Transport equipment to sites and operate rigging tools.
• Ensure safe operation and compliance with vehicle policy.
