Job summary

Nycom, Inc. is seeking a Field Engineer to join our team. The role involves visiting construction sites, documenting progress, coordinating with general contractors and owners to ensure readiness for interior casework installation, and enforcing Nycom installation standards.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Travel up to 50% and pre-employment checks are required. Opportunities for advancement are available.

Qualifications

• Ability to build solid relationships with Architects, Facilities Personnel, End Users and General Contractors.
• Physically able to work in the field at construction sites daily.
• Accurate and timely communication with Nycom and clients.
• Reading and interpreting architectural plans and shop drawings, carpentry, and project close out.
• Coordinate work with Mechanical, Plumbing, and Electrical trades.

Responsibilities

• Visit construction sites and document progress and readiness for interior casework installation.
• Educate and coordinate with general contractors and owners on readiness for installation; coordinate access, storage, schedule, and phasing.
• Attend jobsite progress meetings.
• Perform quality control inspections of casework installation.
• Enforce adherence to Nycom installation standards.
• Coordinate with Project Management.
• Contract and schedule installation subcontractors.
• Enforce safety policies and jobsite cleanup.
• Coordinate deliveries of materials.
• Take field dimensions at jobsites.
• Evaluate schedule progress and ensure adequate manpower.
• Develop punchlists and ensure timely completion of installations.
• Update Project Managers on project status.
• Complete each project on time and within budget.
