Job summary

Fisher Industries is seeking a Field Engineer to plan, develop, coordinate and manage onsite construction engineering activities for concrete paving and heavy civil projects. The position involves traveling with a project team to remote sites and may include night and weekend work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and related experience.
• 3+ years of construction estimating support, engineering, field support, or similar experience.
• Proficiency with MS Windows, Excel, Outlook and MS Teams.
• Proficiency with Blue Beam and OST (Preferred).
• Proficiency with Heavy Job and HCSS (Preferred).
• Valid driver's license and acceptable MVR in accordance with Company Vehicle Program policy.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.
• Ability to complete work tasks under various adverse weather conditions including over 100 degrees, cold, and rain.
• Travel is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage job controls to ensure compliance with contract, budget, schedule, forecasting and job costing.
• Supervise, direct, and mentor project staff to ensure individual development and that project standards are met, and work is completed on time and under budget.
• Develop and maintain project schedule to ensure work is completed on time and under budget.
• Provide technical support in construction planning, quality control, application of construction methods, resolution and documentation of design conflicts, and constructability reviews to ensure successful job completion.
• Represent company during client and project management meetings to ensure effective communication.
• Develop and maintain all material logs.
• Solving problems involving construction or machinery.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
