Job summary

Thompson Thrift is seeking a Field Engineer to support on-site construction operations for multifamily development projects across the U.S. The role requires willingness to travel and relocation, with projects typically lasting about two years before moving to a new assignment.

You’ll work closely with project leadership to keep activities on schedule, within budget, and compliant with safety standards, while growing your career in construction management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 1 year of construction experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Procore is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support site safety, scheduling, cost tracking, quality control, and punch list completion.
• Coordinate material deliveries and logistics.
• Assist with coordination of trades from start through final punch.
• Provide day-to-day oversight of subcontractors and trade partners.
• Document construction progress with daily or weekly site photos.
