Description

Our projects span the U.S., offering opportunities to learn, lead, and advance. This travel-based role requires flexibility and relocation. Field Engineers typically work on projects for about two years before moving to new assignments. While we aim to keep projects regional, business needs may require relocation anywhere in the country. Key Responsibilities
  • Working closely with the project team to monitor project safety, cost, scheduling, quality control, and punch list completion.
  • Completing, updating, and correctly filing quality control checklists.
  • Assisting with the coordination of material deliveries as directed by site management.
  • Coordinating and taking responsibility for the successful completion of specific trades or scopes of work performance from their start of work through final punch.
  • Overseeing and providing day-to-day guidance to subcontractors and their hourly trade employees.
  • Assisting with punch process as directed by site management.
  • Assisting as needed with the daily reporting of subcontractor headcount on the worksite for each of the required construction trades.
  • Ensuring job site safety by policing and assisting with clean-up.
  • Submitting notifications of inadequate cleanup with pictures to responsible subcontractor and ensuring situations are resolved.
  • Taking pictures as needed of construction progress on a daily/weekly basis and saving them in the appropriate job files.
  • Assisting the project team in any capacity directed.
Our Ideal Candidate
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of construction experience required. Relevant internships or equivalent hands‑on experience in construction may also be considered to meet this requirement.
  • Foundational knowledge of construction terminology, processes, and plan reading.
  • Exposure to construction scheduling, cost tracking, and job site safety practices.
  • Proficient with basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office; familiarity with Procore or similar construction software is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills—both written and verbal—with a collaborative, team‑oriented mindset.
  • Self‑motivated with a proactive attitude, problem‑solving skills, and a strong desire to learn and grow within the company.
  • Receptive to feedback and able to follow through on direction to ensure tasks are completed effectively.
Required Certifications (must be obtained within 90 days of hire)
  • First Aid/CPR
  • OSHA 30‑Hour Construction Safety and Health Training
Work Environment & Physical Demands

This position requires mobility on active construction sites and the ability to lift up to 25 lbs. Tasks may involve exposure to outdoor elements, uneven surfaces, power tools, and loud environments. The team member is required to work in compliance with company safety policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
