Job summary

Davidson Hospitality Group seeks a Field Controller to manage hotel financial operations, stepping in for the Director of Finance/Controller as needed. The role requires hands-on accounting leadership across properties, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

You will train staff, oversee accounts payable/receivable, income audits, payroll, and financial reporting, and travel weekly to hotels for transitions and improvements.

Qualifications

• Degree preferred in accounting with five years of related experience, preferably in hospitality.
• Knowledge of GAAP and USALI is required.
• Experience training entry-level staff and new hires; strong oral and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with accounts payable/receivable, payroll, income audits, and financial statement prep.

Responsibilities

• Fulfills the duties of the Director of Finance/Controller when assigned to a hotel.
• Train staff at properties and support special projects or transitions.
• Travel weekly to properties to supervise and implement accounting processes.
• Report to the Senior Manager Accounting Transitions & Support.
