Job summary

PARIC is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to lead a crew of carpenters across multiple job sites, safely and efficiently executing framing, formwork, finish carpentry, and related activities in line with project specs, schedule, and budget. This role requires frequent overnight travel to project sites for the duration of the project.

Qualifications

• Vocational school, technical college or apprenticeship completed.
• 10+ years of construction experience via on-the-job training.
• 2+ years of crew leadership or foreman experience.
• Ability to solve mathematical problems quickly and accurately.
• Certified to operate lifts, lulls, skid steers, etc.
• Thorough understanding of carpentry principles and methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead crew; assign daily tasks, set expectations, productivity and quality.
• Read plans and develop daily work plans and look-ahead schedules.
• Oversee framing, sheathing, formwork, and finish carpentry tasks.
• Model and enforce OSHA and site safety policies.
• Inspect work for conformance to specs; coordinate with inspectors.
• Communicate scope changes, delays, RFIs, and constraints.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
