Job summary

Riverside Technologies, Inc. (RTI) is seeking a Field Services Technician to install, modify, and repair computer hardware and cabling infrastructure.

You will travel to client sites and provide onsite support for desktops, laptops, and servers, with emphasis on wiring, terminations, and testing. The role requires strong technical skills, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and the capacity to work both independently and in teams.

Qualifications

• Cabling experience with Cat6 and Fiber optic is desirable.
• Electrical knowledge about low voltage systems.
• Certifications such as BICSI and A+. Support to obtain certification provided.

Responsibilities

• Cabling infrastructure: pull cable, establish pathways, follow best practices.
• Termination and testing of Cat6, fiber, coaxial cables, and panels.
• Installations: J-hooks, cable trays, raceways, and support rings.
• Hardware support: onsite support for desktops, laptops, and servers (install/move/add/change).
• Diagnostics: monitor performance, run diagnostics, diagnose hardware/software issues.
• Customer communication: explain repair steps, parts, and ETA.
