Job summary

Riverside Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Field Services Technician to provide hardware and networking support with a focus on cabling infrastructure. You will install, modify, and repair computer hardware while running complex cabling systems and supporting onsite customers.

Responsibilities include pulling cables, terminating Cat6 and fiber, installing cable management, and performing routine diagnostics. Travel up to 50% with a strong emphasis on safety and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Cat6 and Fiber Optic cabling experience preferred (as applicable).
• Low voltage electrical knowledge required.
• A+ certification is highly desirable; BICSI certification a plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% and pass background/drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Cabling Infrastructure: Pulling cable, establishing pathways and routes per industry best practices.
• Termination & Testing: Terminating and testing Cat6 and Fiber Optic cables and patch panels.
• Installations: Installing J-hooks, cable trays, conduits and raceways.
• Hardware Support: Onsite support for desktops, laptops, and servers (install/move/add/change).
• Diagnostics: Monitor system performance, run diagnostics, identify hardware/software issues.
• Customer Communication: Communicate repair steps, parts ordered, and ETA to customers.
• Inventory: Manage inventory and maintain operating standards.
