Job summary

VALIANT Construction LLC in Marion, IN is seeking a Traveling Assistant Superintendent to support Federal Construction projects ranging from $10M to $50M. You will assist with planning, safety, and quality assurance on USACE, NAVFAC, VA, and GSA contracts.

The role requires coordinating with project teams, government officials, and subcontractors to drive on-time, within-budget delivery while maintaining high workmanship and compliance with FAR/DFARS guidelines.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial/federal construction projects.
• Crew lead/foreman experience required or 4+ years in related roles.
• Formal education aligned with degree level as described in the tracks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and clean job site.
• Assist with preconstruction planning and site setup.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and daily site activity.
• Oversee project execution from initiation to completion.
• Interpret contract specifications, project specs and safety standards.
• Assist with schedules, budgets and cost controls to ensure efficiency.
• Communicate with Project Manager, CORs, subs, architects, engineers and clients.
