Job summary

BGIS, a global leader in facilities management, seeks a Traveling Facility Maintenance Technician to service client sites from a fully equipped service vehicle in Peoria, IL.

You will perform general repairs, HVAC service on multiple systems, preventive maintenance, and small projects while ensuring safety and customer satisfaction. This role includes a competitive pay and benefits package.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial facility maintenance experience.
• EPA Certification required.
• Valid driver's license with ability to travel locally as needed.
• Ability to pass drug, background, driving record, and security clearance checks.
• Trade school education or relevant certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform general repairs and small service projects (e.g., walls, windows, doors).
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with appliances and building systems.
• Conduct service, inspections, and routine preventive maintenance on plumbing and electrical systems.
• Provide HVAC service on systems that consist of but limited to on Split systems, Rooftop package units, VAV's, and water source heat pumps.
• Engage with clients to confirm service requests and ensure satisfaction.
• Adhere to safety standards and building regulations.
