American Repair Maintenance in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our service delivery team. You will perform commercial maintenance across plumbing, electrical, drywall, carpentry, flooring, EIFS, welding, and structural repairs, with travel to client sites on a flexible schedule.

The role requires a 7+ year track record, the ability to read blueprints, and a strong mechanical aptitude. Competitive hourly pay, benefits, and mileage reimbursement are offered.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of commercial maintenance experience across multiple trades.
• High school diploma or equivalent vocational certification(s).
• General contractor license, electrical license, or specialized trade certifications preferred.
• Proven ability to read assembly drawings and blueprints.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work with tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Complete service tickets in designated territory with high quality and timeliness.
• Maintain clear lines of communication with lead technicians, supervisors, and office staff.

• Follow policies to ensure proper and safe working conditions.
• Drive up to 500–2000 miles per week to client sites with paid mileage.
• Support a flexible schedule including on-call, overnight, and weekend travel.
• Transport tools and equipment safely and manage their upkeep.
• Be proficient with industry software, mobile apps, and digital tools for work orders and documentation.
• Lift up to 75 lbs and operate tools producing up to 200 pounds of torque.
