Job summary

American Repair Maintenance in Racine, WI is seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to deliver high-quality commercial maintenance across multiple trades. The role requires travel, strong diagnostics, blueprint literacy, and safe, professional performance under variable schedules.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of experience with plumbing, electrical, drywall, carpentry, and related trades, plus a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of commercial maintenance experience across plumbing, electrical, drywalling, carpentry, flooring, masonry, EIFS, welding, and structural repairs.
• High school diploma or equivalent vocational certification; general contractor or electrical license preferred.
• Proven ability to read blueprints and perform with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds and operate tools delivering up to 200 pounds of torque.

Responsibilities

• Complete service tickets in a designated territory with cost-conscious, high-quality, timely delivery.
• Maintain clear communication with lead technicians, supervisors, managers, and office staff.
• Travel up to 500–2000 miles per week to client sites; on-call, overnight, and weekend availability.
• Provide own transportation for tools and equipment; use tech tools to document orders and progress.
