Job summary

American Repair Maintenance (ARM) is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician in Birmingham, AL. The role requires 7+ years of commercial maintenance across multiple trades, plus the ability to read blueprints and manage field tickets.

You will drive to client sites (up to 2000 miles weekly) with paid mileage and carry essential tools. A high school diploma or related certification is required, with licenses highly preferred.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of commercial maintenance experience in plumbing, electrical, drywalling, carpentry, flooring masonry, EIFS, welding, and structural repairs.
• General contractor license, electrical license, or specialized trade certifications are highly preferred.
• Proven mechanical aptitude with the ability to read assembly and blueprint drawings.

Responsibilities

• Be the eyes and ears in the field, delivering service tickets in a designated territory with cost-conscious, high-quality, timely work.
• Maintain clear communication with lead technicians, supervisors, managers, and office staff on progress and issues.
• Follow all policies to ensure proper and safe working conditions.
• Travel to client sites up to 500-2000 miles per week with paid mileage reimbursement.
• Provide own reliable transportation and carry tools and equipment as listed.
