Job summary

Proof of the Pudding seeks experienced bartenders for events at the Gas South District Convention Center in Duluth, GA. The role covers setup, service, and breakdown across multiple venues in the Gas South Region, with travel as needed.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years bartending, strong communication, and outstanding customer service. TIPS certification and ability to lift up to ~40 lbs are preferred, with potential for advancement and flexible part-time hours.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of bartending experience.
• Team player with strong communication skills.
• Experience in preparing mixed drinks.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• TIPS certification (or equivalent accredited certification).
• Hardworking and organized with a high level of responsibility.
• Maintains good grooming and personal hygiene.
• Knowledge of upscale/VIP service styles.
• Must live near or be willing to relocate to Atlanta, GA.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for pre- and post-bar setup and breakdown.
• Set the bar up in a timely manner, including icing down products.
• Communicate with bar back personnel during the event to assist with replenishment during shift.
• Greet all guests and provide exceptional customer service.
• Operate a point-of-sale system to collect funds.
• Attend to guests' fulfilling needs throughout the event.
• Perform closing POS duties and financial processes as directed.
• Clean the bar after closing and discard excess ice.
• Record closing inventory to balance bar consumption vs. sales.
• Put away all inventory as directed.
• Follow all federal, local, and venue alcohol policies.
• Place items back in the liquor cage, if applicable.
• Perform other related duties as necessary.
